The Twelve Days of Christmas crept into existence sometime in the 1700s, appearing in a children’s book called Mirth With-out Mischief — long before English baritone and composer Frederic Austin added an all-too-familiar melody. There are many variations of the song, with “colly” birds that are black as coal, bears a-baiting, ships a-sailing, and ducks a-quacking.
Some even call out the gift receiver as being someone’s mother instead of their true love. So, we thought it would be fun to make our own version of the forfeit game-turned-carol. We’ve provided all the shop-a-long dog gifts to give this year, but will leave the final lyrics — “two pluf’s a-napping” — up to you.

Day One. The Furbo 360-degree view and auto pet tracking camera is one of the hottest gifts this season. The camera allows you to remotely hear and speak to your dog from your phone, and even toss out treats from time to time. The camera also has an optional built-in barking alert and takes “selfies” anytime your pup sniffs the treat-dispensing hole. Best of all, Furbo works with cats, too!

Day Two. Sometimes two is better than one, which is why human-sized dog beds are making an impact on the pet scene. The original was designed by Plufl and made famous for appearing on Shark Tank. Since then, several more manufacturers have sprung up so it pays to do your homework. Ironically, Plufl wasn’t all about pets on the front end. It was designed for humans.
Day Three. When Apple first came out with AirTags to track everything from car keys to luggage, it was only a matter of time before someone wanted to make them about pets — AirTag collar adaptors by Native Pup. As one of their newest collars, you might have to find them on Amazon or Walmart. But once you have them, you’ll never have to look far for your pet.

Day Four. When shopping for sneakers that come in sets of four, check out the new Caesar 1S by RifRuf. These dog sneakers are made out of the same material as human shoes, with a 100 percent rubber midsole and outsole to protect those paws from hot and rough surfaces. Best of all, the shoes come with an adjustable hook and loop strap closure for added comfort.
Day Five. Instead of asking who ate the turkey this year, maybe you’ll be asking who ate the PAW-reos. These delicious dog treats are made by mason de pawz with five to a package. Each one is packed in its own clear macaron sleeve and wrapped in a clear cellophane bag. The bow on top makes it all the more festive.
Day Six. All About Spot carries its own stylish holiday dog bowtie collection. This year’s seasonal pick is a reindeer pattern with six different centers to choose from. The six centers include black, white, polka dot, and black sparkles. When you visit the store, look for the Christmas and Chanukah toy dog bones, too!

Day Seven. A brand new Etsy shop opened a couple of years ago that allows pet parents to order up customized ceramic dog bowls. Pick a design and add your pet’s name to the bowl. The bowls come in large, small, and elevated base models with more than 50+ color combinations. Ceramic bowls are free of BPA, Phthalates, and other nasty chemicals that hide in plastic.
Day Eight. Once you buy the bowl, head on over for the ultimate street treats. Best Bully Sticks are the perfect stocking stuffer for any pup with an appetite for hickory-smoked morsels. With no additives or artificial flavors, Bully Sticks provide the savory and wholesome essence of premium beef as a treat. While known for their aroma, Bully Sticks also makes a smaller, no-odor stick that dogs love.
Day Nine. You never have to leave your pup behind with this beautifully designed pet tote from Caraa. It comes equipped with an interior leash, a machine-washable sherpa lining, and a complimentary removable poop bag holder. This water-proof and eco-friendly tote also features an exterior pocket for toys and an additional phone pouch.

Day Ten. Of course, if your furry friend would rather carry their own toys, Caraa has a solution for that, too. This dog backpack is a mini carry-all that can be packed with waste bags, leashes, toys, or even lunch for the both of you. The backpack is made of water-resistant nylon, and features a D-ring for a dog leash as well as two spacious pockets.
Day Eleven. Treat your pup to a little bit of heaven with a slicker brush from DOG by Dr. Lisa. These short bristle brushes are designed to grab and remove loose hairs and debris, leaving your pup feeling freshly untangled. It’s also made from sustainable bamboo.
Day Twelve. A twelve-month membership for Pet Records on All About Sport is much more than a gift of convenience. It’s a gift of love. By keeping pet records online and up to date, anyone from pet sitters to vets can access important information about your pet when it’s needed most.
Happy holidays from all of us at All About Spot. We love our pets and know you do too! So we hope you have the happiest holidays with our sing- and shop-a-long dog gift Christmas!
